    General Description: It is the primary responsibility of the Dock Sales Coordinator to sell on-site package and keg product (beer) to customers. The Dock Sales Coordinator may also be responsible for picking and packaging promotional and POS items on behalf of marketing and the brewery.

    Knowledge, skills and abilities required: Must have active and extensive beer knowledge. Ability to interface with customers in a positive manner at all times. Act as an ambassador of the brand and our beers. Focus on all aspects of customer service with the intent of providing a top of the line experience.

    Essential Functions:

    • Fulfill point of sale transactions.
    • Provide exceptional customer service.
    • Perform daily point of sale order fulfillment
    • Requires maintenance and cleaning of inventory area, inventory organization and racking, inventory cycle counting and reporting, monthly inventory accounting, and reorder quantity vendor releases notification.
    • Actual Physical Counts of Packaging and/or Raw Materials and tag controls required
    • Requires preparation of OLCC paper work of kegs sold, tap handle and keg deposits as well as ice and bucket needs.
    • UPS/FedEx software is to be used effectively for brewery and marketing shipments
    • General housekeeping, maintenance and organization of the dock and inventory areas.
    • Requires hands on cleaning and maintenance along with organization and interpersonal skills to coordinate with other departments.
    • Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records while using proper procedures.
    • Label shipments and transport to loading dock.
    • Be responsible for collateral merchandise shipping leading up to promotional seasons.
    • Perform month end inventory count (when applicable).
    • Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.
    • Remove completed or defective products or materials
    • Receive and rotate perishable beverage products using FIFO (First In, First Out).
    • Handle sales transactions properly, and balance cash deposits daily.
    • Abide by safety and quality standards

    Performance Standards:

    • Communicate to supervisor when product is reaching expiration date.
    • Establish needs to brew staff day prior to dock sales.
    • Ship all Marketing and Brewery related POS (UPS) within established time frames.
    • Keep shipping costs down whenever possible (combine shipments, researching routing options, etc.)
    • Attention to detail, conscientious, aware of changes to schedule, lack of mistakes, miscommunication, oversights.
    • Ability to make and execute correct decisions when necessary or call for help when appropriate.
    • Effective in working with others, both within and outside the production department. Treat coworkers in a respectful and courteous manner.
    • Reliability/Attendance.

    Licenses and/or certifications:

    Fork lift certification
    OLCC Permit

    Attributes:

    • Physical Strength - The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without 'giving out' or fatiguing.
    • Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
    • Information Ordering – The ability to arrange things/actions in a certain pattern/order according to a specific rule or set of rules (i.e. patterns of numbers, letters, words, mathematical operations).
    • Information Reporting – The ability to clearly report information regarding daily activities (i.e. what orders were filled/not filled, items missing, weight of order, etc.).
    • Time Management – The ability to effectively budget time for all of one’s daily responsibilities.
    • Organization of space – The ability to organize/maintain one’s space in a clean and logical manner.
    • Problem Sensitivity – The ability to recognize when there is or is about to be a problem and communicate this through the proper channels.
    • Mathematics – Basic counting skills for MRF fulfillment/inventory.
    • Flexibility – The ability and willingness to adapt to a changing plan/space and work around issues that may arise.
    • Ability to work with/around others in a positive and constructive manner.


    Level of decision making responsibility:

    Input for policies and procedures are welcomed an influential but, not final. All decision making outside of the norm of daily guidelines must be presented to immediate supervisor for review.

    Experience and Education:

    High School Diploma; At least 1 year in manufacturing environment; Experience with Micros system

    Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions:

    • Constant standing, walking, pushing, pulling, reaching; high exposure to varied temperature changes; exposed to wet floors, cleaning and sanitizing agents, steam, hot items, sharp objects; some stress.
    • Sometimes works with hazardous materials.
    • Regularly lift/carry 30-40 lbs.
    • Occasionally lift 50-75 lbs.
    • Regularly walk, climb, balance, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time.
    • Must be comfortable with moderate heights.
