    We are looking for another great leader in our organization! Sonder Brewing is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed candidate to join our team as the leader of our accounting and human resources department.

    It is incredibly important that this candidate maintains the utmost levels of integrity and confidentiality as this position will be responsible for managing team member matters as well as high level financial data. This candidate must show strong organizational skills and be able to manage many different tasks while meeting important deadlines.

    • Answer direct phone calls to the brewery
    • Record and deliver messages to the appropriate individual
    • Coordinate meetings with owners and departments meetings
    • Attend weekly and bi-weekly meetings with key management

    • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable with the assistance of each department head
      • Manage and organize files including AR, AP, and pertinent documents
    • Recordkeeping of Quick books
    • Reconcile quick books at least monthly
    • Record daily operational financial transactions (work with production team, COGS)
    • Reconcile subsidiary ledgers. Prepare reconciliations.
    • Record monthly journal entries.
    • Reconcile balance sheet accounts in QuickBooks.
    • Review revenue and expense accounts.
    • Prepare financial statements (at least annually)
    • Prepare BS, IS, CF for Management review and coordinate with third party accounting firm.
    • Coordinate with third party accounting firm
    • Prepare and pay monthly Sales Tax through gateway
    • Prepare and pay CAT tax through gateway
    • Prepare and pay TTB tax filings
    • Renew liquor permit for beer and wine on an annual basis
    • Prepare, communication, and maintain workers compensation, including workers compensation claims
    • Manage payroll processing throughout the organization
      • Bi-weekly payroll process. Complete by Wednesday at noon before each bi-weekly Friday’s pay date – See separate policy and procedure for step by step instruction
      • Complete annual W-2 process, see Paycor checklist, and extend days if needed.
      • Pay and Review monthly billing for Medical, Vision, and Dental. Ensure deductions per Paycor agree to billing and EE deductions communicated by Mosaic.
      • Respond to letters from Ohio Department of Job and Family Services – update garnishments per Paycor if needed.

    • Maintain employee records, ensure all records are in compliance from State and Federal prospective
    • Update HR tracker and coordinate missing paperwork with direct supervisor
    • Coordinate onboarding process for new hires
    • Send monthly new hires, birthdays pertaining to the month and anniversary to marketing for monthly newsletter
    • Address unemployment or Family Services questions.
    • Maintain annual and quarterly performance reviews, retain in personal files
    • Maintain employee write-ups
    • Coordinate annual enrollment period medical, vision, and dental with third party broker.
    • Communicate with third party broker – Mosaic for employee status changes.
    • Address team member questions/needs in timely manner
      • This includes all matters involving team members, which are intended to be entirely confidential
    • Communicate new hires with Ohio New Hire Reporting
    • Manage/Facilitate Employee Benefit and 401k Plans
      • The Monday after each pay date, process the 401k EE/ER contribution – See separate policy and procedure for step by step instruction
      • Monitor deferral %, ensure John Hancock agrees to Paycor
      • Update Paycor on 401k eligibility and enrollment per John Hancock
      • Address any questions from employees and third party representatives (John Hancock, CRS, or TFN)
      • Generate 401k report for CRS (broker census file), complete annual questionnaire for compliance testing
      • Coordinate annual meeting to discuss 401k performance and employee questions with third party providers
