JOB TITLE: Warehouse Operator
LOCATION: Branford, CT
REPORTS TO: Packaging Manager
POSITION TYPE: Full Time, Hourly Employee
SHIFT: TBD
APPROXIMATE START DATE: February 2015
Stony Creek Brewery is building a 30,000 square feet brewery and tasting room on the banks of the Branford River in Shoreline Branford, CT. Our facility will feature a 30 bbl JVNW Brewery, a Kosme/Krones Bottling line, a Wild Goose Canning Line and more. Attached will be a 2,500 square foot tasting pub and second floor celebration room.
POSITION SUMMARY: Stony Creek Brewery seeks to add detail-oriented, disciplined, and reliable individuals with initiative and passion for teamwork to our packaging team. The Warehouse Operator will assist with the daily functions of the warehouse including but not limited to, shipping, receiving, put away, inventory, keg line and pallet and keg repair to ensure orders are selected and loaded for customer delivery within company designated time frame.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Must be a passionate about craft beer.
• Ensure warehouse/assigned areas, are kept in compliance with company cleanliness and safety standards.
• Loads and unloads trucks efficiently and safely with lift truck
• Properly rotates product by date to insure freshness to customers
• Completes paperwork accurately and quickly
• Stages bottle and draught orders
• Assists Packaging Department under direction of Packaging Manager
• Assists Packaging Department with end of run inventory reconciliation
• Keeps accurate inventory on a daily basis
• Maintains all warehouse areas including equipment
• Provides outstanding customer service
• Meets company attendance requirements
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
IMPORTANT SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• Minimum 1 year forklift experience and certification.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Previous warehouse experience in a “first-in-first-out” set up desired.
• Mechanical aptitude is desired.
• Good documentation skills, including data entry, 10 key, and Microsoft Excel knowledge.
Pay rate depends on experience. Job will include competitive benefits.
