Sleeping Giant Brewing Company is currently looking for (2) Brewery workers to work in their Denver
brewery. These are fulltime positions. A Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Food Science is
preferred, and relative work experience will be considered. Certification by the Institute of Brewing and
Distilling, Siebel’s, or similar is preferred. Experience in a food/beverage/pharmaceutical/chemical
facility is a must. Familiarity with aseptic technique and quality at the source is desired. This is a ground-
up organization with an expectation of multi-skilling across the brewery, and a focus on safety, quality,
and productivity.
We are a start up with large aspirations and are looking for driven individuals to be a part of the team for the long haul. We will do 25,000 on contracted production in year 1 and grow from there. There will be meaningful advancement opportunities for the right candidate!
Desired skills include, but are not limited to:
Grain handling and receipt
Brewhouse management from mash-in to cold wort production
Fermentation and Yeast Pitching
Sterile filtration and in-line carbonation operations
Can, Bottle, and Kegging operations experience, including pasteurization and warehousing
Experience with Quality at Source and brewery analytical instrumentation – Anton Parr, pH
meters, DO meters, Spectrophotometers, hemocytometers, microscopes, etc. preferred
Follow a Quality-at-Source Sample Plan
Follow the Brewing and Packaging Production Plan
Follow the Master Sanitation Schedule and perform CIP/SIP and associated chemical handling,
titrations, and documentation
Experience with Autonomous Maintenance of pump, gearboxes, and hydraulics preferred
(correct, inspect, lubricate, quick fix, adjustments).
Follow a Safe Plan of Action and Perform LOTOTO for non-standard work
Understanding of Lean / Continuous Improvement principles
Work in a Flexible Team Environment
Understanding of GMP
Participate in Sensory Program as needed
Excellent written and oral communication
Participation in development of SOPs and job-aids
Ability to communicate to the Senior Leadership Team
Proficiency in MS Office
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Forklift experience preferred
Skilled Trades experience is a plus
Ability to grow into a team leader role
