Hops & Grain Brewing, located on the east-side of Austin, is now accepting résumés for a full time packaging person. The position will begin mid to late February and job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
-Operating the canning line (approx. 8-9 hour shifts). This includes setting up and/or breaking down the line, cleaning, routine maintenance, ensuring proper seaming and fill levels, and palletizing cases.
-Cleaning kegs
-Filling kegs
-Setting aside samples for QA/QC
-Cleaning and maintaining the packaging area
-Preparing packaged beer for pick up by the distributor
This job includes standing for extended periods of time, and requires large amounts of cleaning and sanitation. Much of this job includes heavy lifting and manual labor.
Previous brewery experience is not necessary, we will train the right candidate. Opportunities for advancement within the first 6-12 months are also highly possible for the right candidate. A four year college degree is strongly preferred. Details of compensation and more specific duties will be discussed prior to hiring.
