General Description: This position is responsible for all shipping and logistics and will oversee all material handling. This representative is expected to be the authority on warehousing, raw ingredients, finished goods and packaging. Candidate must be enthusiastic about the brewing industry and must possess a passion for great beer and sustainability.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required: Must have advanced Microsoft Excel and Quickbooks knowledge. This individual must be action oriented, and should possess strong organizational and administrative skills. This individual should have the ability to effectively budget time for all of one’s daily responsibilities. The ability and willingness to adapt to a changing plan/space and work around issues that may arise is very important. It is also important that this individual is able to work with/around others in a positive and constructive manner.
Essential Functions:
• Manage all material handling
• Insure all incoming and outgoing materials meet quality specifications
• All defective products should be escalated and documented
• FG and raw inventories need to be managed
• Warehouse operations and cleanliness should be maintained
• All finished goods need to be palletized, tagged and wrapped
• Implement FIFO (First in and first out) and Kanban
• Prepare, invoice and manage all distributor orders, following up with discrepancies as needed
• Create BOLS as needed
• Negotiate freight quotations as needed
Additional Functions:
• Provide training and support for racking, bottling and canning as needed
• Occasional support to production if needed
• Manage all POS and glass orders
Performance Standards/KPI’s:
• Create a clean warehouse environment
• Implement Lean Practices
• Practice Kanban practices as necessary (push/pull tags)
• Practice FIFO
• Practice Good Housekeeping
Licenses and/or certification:
Forklift certification
Level of decision making responsibility:
Intermediate. Must work with brewing operations to insure orders are met.
Management Responsibility:
Time and product management
Experience and Education:
High School Diploma; warehouse experience preferred
List the equipment with which you are required to use and/or operate:
Forklift
Pallet Jacks (Electric and manual)
Pallet Wrapper
Physical Requirement and Environmental Conditions:
Regularly lift/carry 30-40 lbs.
Occasionally lift 50-150 lbs.
Regularly walk, climb, balance, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time.
