Packaging Lead - Central NJ
River Horse Brewing Co. is a regional production brewery located in Central New Jersey. We are New Jersey's oldest craft brewery and one of the state's largest. We are looking to add a dedicated packaging lead to our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for craft beer, a hatred for DO, and a strong desire to maintain the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities
Oversee packaging on 16 head rotary counter pressure bottle filler, 4 head inline canning line, and keg washer/filler
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on all machines
Work with Warehouse Manager, Lead Brewer, and Head Brewer to determine effective scheduling, managing of staff, and inventory
Manage inventory of packaging materials
Oversee packaging reports
Abilities
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
Comfortable working in confined spaces, lifting 55 pounds and moving up to 165 pounds.
Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours per day
Excellent record keeping ability
Must be competent with MS Office
Reliable transportation to brewery as well as events
Experience
1 to 2 years of packaging experience in a production facility or large brew pub
6 months to 1 year of leadership or management experience
Brewing education is preferred
