What We Are Looking For:
Developer Positions:
TheProduct Developers are responsible for building and protecting our winning profiles for our rapidly growing Blend/Beyond Beer portfolio. They will work cross-functionally to bring new product innovations to market by coordinating the development of the product and ensuring that the products can efficiently and safely be produced at the production Breweries.
Through development, we optimize current formulas to mitigate supplier risk and increase operational efficiency of our Blend products. Working closely with NPD and R&D groups as well as the production teams to ensure smooth transitions, scalability, and to help with bench scale testing of process changes. They will also follow the product life cycle and evaluate opportunities to improve ingredients or processes that will improve product integrity or processing efficiency. Responsibilities will include conducting research and testing of new ingredients, process techniques and packaging technologies, as well as developing and maintaining product specifications and standard operating procedures for product formulation and process. The product developer will build and manage timelines, work with capacity planning to schedule 10bbl and nano brews, work on cross-functional teams to direct product outcomes and manage on-time delivery of new products to market.
Technician Positions:
The NPD/OPD Lab Technicians will be responsible for executing all necessary daily functions for a high performing new product development lab. Working alongside the Product Developers, this role will include preparing and bottling prototypes for new and existing products, analyzing and compiling data to develop specs, and maintaining a clean and highly functional product development laboratory. The person will also assist with preparing comprehensive reports on finished projects for the quality and R&D groups.

- Must possess the technical skills to work in a lab, pilot plant, and manufacturing scale environments
- Ability to life at least 30 pounds (1 case of beer). Ability to stand for long periods of time (8 hour work day)
- Bachelor of Sciences degree required, preferably in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Fermentation Science or other life sciences
- Masters preferred
- 3-5 years of related industry experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required
- Report writing and good communication skills is required
- Proven ability to work in a flexible and changing schedule
- Prior experience with flavors a plus
- Experience with project management tracking systems such as Basecamp, Workfront, and/or Microsoft OneNote is preferred
Technician Positions:

- Working conditions: Primarily stationed in the Boston Brewery R&D lab area or in the Pennsylvania Brewery OPD lab
- Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Fermentation Science, Engineering or other Life Sciences preferred
- Open to someone excited about getting hands on food science experience
- Internship experience in food science, product development or quality lab experience (brewing, beverage of food manufacturing industry) sensory analysis, R&D setting is a plus
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required
- Report writing and good communication skills is required
