Beverage Production CIP / Change Over Technician - Edison NJ

MetaBrand is an industry leader in beverage Formulation & Product development that provides co-packing services specializing in canned cocktails, energy drinks, wine spritzers, sports drinks, and CBD-infused beverages. We run multiple canning and hot/cold fill lines at our facility. We are looking for a talented individual to manage our Production Planning across our customer base and production lines.

Scope of Work

• Perform CIP of mixing vessels, tanks, process lines, filters, pumps including assembly and disassembly of process lines and loops.
• Mixes and uses chemicals safely (uses the appropriate chemical for the task, uses cleaning equipment safely, safely carries buckets with chemicals)
• Actively monitor carbonation processes on manual and automated systems while maintaining quality standards and specifications.
• Follow all SOPs and best practices for filling/blending operations (carbonation, alcohol blending, Supplement processing) in a safe and efficient manner
• Stage materials and prepare for batching according to set recipes and schedules
• Responsible for performance and reporting of product and equipment on shift
• Based on limits outlined by SOP’s, react appropriately when limits are exceeded, and escalate abnormalities to the supervisor
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of process equipment & light duty mechanical adjustments; manually or with small hand tools or escalates maintenance issues appropriately
• Communicate and works in conjunction with other departments (Quality, Packaging, Maintenance, etc.) as necessary to meet department objectives
• Additional duties as assigned

Please Apply if You Have

• Prior Brewing/Brewery operation experience
• Ability to coordinate with production team members and cover any required blending operation
• Comprehensive understanding of raw materials handling, beverage operations, batch management, and blending
• Understanding of COP, CIP, sanitation, and sterilization techniques
• The skill to quickly assess the status of operations and troubleshoot processes is strongly desired
• Work with automated processes interface, as well as manual operations is strongly desired
• Multitask while maintaining strong attention to detail is essential
• Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate team tasks in a cross-functional, cross-departmental team environment
• Work unsupervised and make critical decisions is desired
