The OP3’s Responsibilities are:
- Overseeing operation of Bottling, Canning, and Kegging and directing packaging team to accomplish daily goals.
- Ensuring safe work practices are followed, Quality Control standards are always met, and Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to.
- Identifying and implementing improvements to procedures and workflow.
- Ensuring logs and work orders are filled out completely and accurately in real-time.
- Knows when to Jump in to operate any station on the packaging line.
- Mechanical ability to troubleshoot equipment and control operational downtime.
- Works in close collaboration with Maintenance staff.
- Tracking packaging inventory to ensure sufficient materials are on hand to meet demands.
- Training of new team members and providing refresher training to experienced staff.
- Works with Packaging Manager to schedule shifts, packaging scheduling, and assists with administrative duties.
- Must have high attention to detail, willingness to learn, and love for cleanliness and order.
- Passionate, reliable, and committed to the needs of our team and our clients.
- Organized, able to multitask and quickly adjust to changing priorities.
- Curious about how things work and interested in improving systems. A motivated, independent worker who enjoys bringing new ideas to the table.
- Strong troubleshooting, mechanical, and problem-solving skills.
- Assertive and have a good sense of urgency.
- 3-5 years of prior packaging experience at a manufacturing facility, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Craft beer or beverage experience is preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
- Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Google Docs). Experience with production tracking and/or ERP software is preferred, but not required for a fast learner.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Forklift Certification a plus, we will recertify you.
- Must be over 21 years of age (for Quality Control).
While performing the functions of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Safely lift and move 50 – 75 lbs. regularly, can manipulate 165lbs with assistance.
- Walk, kneel, bend, stand, and climb stairs.
- Utilize visual acuity to operate equipment and read technical information.
- Working in the brewery is a wet, noisy place! We operate in indoor/outdoor environments with variable lighting, temperature, and ventilation. PPE is provided for all workers!
