Bow & Arrow Brewing Co., based in the heart of the American Southwest, was founded by two Mandan, Hidatsa and Navajo women in 2016. We believe in the strength of range and are ambitious in producing a breadth of styles, including IPAs, Saisons, Pilsners, Stouts, Mixed Culture and often source ingredients uniquely indigenous to our surrounding high desert mountains, mesas and special places.

The Albuquerque location houses our brewery, canning line (5-head, ABE Craftcan35, full-size depal) and flagship beer hall where we brew on a 15-bbl system and manage our clean beer, wild and sour foeder and barrel projects. We opened our first satellite taproom, Rambler, in the Four Corners (Farmington, NM) in August 2021.
Bow & Arrow is seeking a dynamic, experienced team leader to manage its Packaging operations at the flagship location in Albuquerque, NM.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Packaging Manager
Scope of Work: Full-time position, generally Monday through Friday, starting at 6-7a to 2-3pm, but may evolve over time.
Location: Based in Albuquerque, NM
Supervisor: Reports to the Head Brewer
Supervising: 1-2 Part-time packaging assistants
Status: Hourly, non-exempt position
Start Date: Late November/Early December
The Packaging Manager is primarily responsible for managing the coordinating all packaging operations (canning, kegging & bottling). They must ensure these operations are completed safely and in a timely manner. These operations include the management of and scheduling of packaging staff, day-to-day participation and oversight of operations in the packaging department, maintenance of all packaging equipment, and conducting weekly inventory of packaging materials. This position reports directly to the Head Brewer.
This person will work closely with beer production to schedule and coordinate the packaging schedule. This may include cellar work to support brewing staff, as well as directing packaging assistants to also assist with cellar work. It is imperative that this person possess excellent communication skills to aid in coordinating between departments, as well as clearly providing accurate packaging schedules for assistants.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Ensuring all packaging materials are available and stocked appropriately to meet the packaging schedule
- Continuously improve packaging operations by quality and efficiency
- Develop training materials (such as SOP’s) and train all assistants in packaging operations, especially as they change
- Complete all required documentation for packaging operations
- Work safely and foster a safety-first environment
- Work with QA/QC to make improvements in packaging operations
- Be available for occasional events (such as beer festivals) that may occur on nights and weekend
