    Packaging Manager (full-time)


    We are looking for a Packaging Manager to join our team who has a passion for craft beer and is committed to the process of high-quality production. We are a small company and everyone is expected to wear many hats. A positive attitude about the variety of tasks you will tackle in any given week is crucial. The Packaging Manager will report to our Director of Brewery Operations, will be supported by our Production Team, and will interface frequently with our Director of Sales & Marketing as well as our Warehouse Manager and Business Manager. Compensation ranges between $20-$25/hour, commensurate with skills and experience.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


    OPERATIONS
    • Lead Operator/maintain/repair Wild Goose canning line; including DO readings, CIP, and sanitation, with strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) set forth in training.
    • Dedication to maintaining a clean, neat and safe work area.
    • Operate/maintain/repair wild bottling and canning line.
    • Operate/maintain/repair draft packaging.
    • Perform basic maintenance tasks on pumps, valves, tanks and process equipment.
    • Ability to operate or train to operate a forklift.
    • Trained on and occasionally perform other production duties outside of packaging.
    • Recommend and maintain inventory of tools and replacement parts for packaging needs.
    • Facilitator/coordinator of QC/QA implementation in packaging area.
    • Plan and schedule PMs on all packaging equipment.
    • Recommend and maintain inventory of tools and replacement parts for packaging needs.
    • Oversee cleaning and maintenance of kegs in coordination with the Brewery Ops team.

    TRAINING
    • Perform on going training of Brewery Ops team as packaging assistants, and coordinate with them to cover larger packaging shifts.
    • Train and oversee seasonal assistance.
    • Embrace and recommend changes in procedure geared towards ongoing process improvements.

    LOGISTICS
    • Transfer packaged goods to warehouse in coordination with Warehouse Manager.
    • Plan and order inventory needs for packaging in coordination with the Business Manager and Warehouse Manager.
    • Coordinate with Sales/Tasting Room before packaging runs to determine allocations and packaging needs.

    DOCUMENTATION
    • Maintain accurate and thorough log sheets and information in EKOS brewery management software.
    • Develop/maintain/edit SOPs related to packaging.
    • Review packaging run data monthly regarding efficiency/loss, and make recommendations for improvement when appropriate.
    GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
    • High School Diploma or GED required
    • Flexible schedule
    • Minimum age requirement is 21 years
    • Active driver’s license
    • Candidate must be able to work in a standing position continuously
    • Candidate must be able to lift up to 25 pounds frequently
    • Candidate must be able to bend, stoop, and reach occasionally
    • Candidate must be able to occasionally lift up to 60 pounds
    • Candidate must be able to occasionally move up to 170 pounds
