Packaging Manager


Cabarrus Brewing Company in Concord, NC is seeking a full-time Packaging Manager. This position is responsible for beer quality and consistency from brite tank to shipping, as well as related equipment operation, maintenance, and detailed record keeping. Schedule to include some evenings, holidays, and extended hours as business dictates.


Duties Include:

• Maintain a safe and clean working environment
• Management & planning of packaging operations
• Operation & maintenance of packaging equipment including Codi canning line, InLine labeling machine, and date coder
• Ensuring O2 levels are within industry standards
• Operating & maintaining 2 head keg washer
• Kegging & labeling
• Palletizing
• Forklifting and preparing products for distribution
• Equipment cleaning and sanitation using industrial cleaning chemicals and hot water
• Inventory management of packaging supplies
• Ensuring quality standards and consistency of all packaging operations
• Reporting to Operations Manager
• Assist with other brewery task, as time permits

Qualifications:

• Two years of related experience preferred
• Familiarity with industrial machinery operations & maintenance
• Knowledge of beer quality standards, packaging technology, and best practices
• Understanding of proper safety practices and PPE use, particularly relating to common CIP chemicals and high temperature conditions
• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
• Ability to maintain neat and accurate records
• Willingness to perform repetitive tasks
• Ability to lift up to 160lbs
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods
• Desire to learn and improve upon existing methodologies
• Self-motivated; able to accomplish tasks and maintain schedules with minimal direct supervision
