Job Summary:
The Fermentation Specialist works directly with the Fermentation Management to provide scientific and technical cider fermentation expertise on site to meet production goals.
Requirements
- Receiving and completing daily tasks in a timely, accurate, and effectual manner.
- Mastering of the fermentation process including; building ferments, pitching yeast, daily monitoring of ferment health, crashing, filtering, and blending.
- Recording meticulous and accurate documentation for all cellar and fermentation processes.
- Learning and observing all established SOP’s.
- Assisting in the training of new personnel.
- Striving to improve all processes and systems through peer engagement.
- Utilizing machinery/system technical troubleshooting skills.
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for beverage production.
- Comply with and enforce safe work standards in all tasks to prevent injury or damage to property and inventory.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Work Weekends when needed
- Standing on feet all day
- Heavy physical work (bending, kneeling, pulling hoses, etc.)
- Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, etc. for long periods of time.
- Driving a forklift, electric pallet jack, and pallet jack.
- Will work continuously on wet floors and with wet equipment
- Able to lift 20+ pounds on a repetitive basis
- Ability to frequently lift and or move up to 50lbs, and occasionally lift and or move up to 75lbs
- Non-Climate controlled warehouse
- Loud to moderate continuous noise in work area
- Occasionally exposed to chemicals
- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
