    Full Time Kegging Technician - Mission Brewing

    Summary/Objective:
    Mission Brewing is looking for a detail oriented, organized, and motivated individual to join our team.
    The Kegging Technician is responsible for retrieving empty kegs, preparing them for washing, cleaning / sterilizing using the keg washer equipment, and filling them using multiple methods, as well as all related processes and procedures. Once the kegs are filled, the Employee will be responsible arranging the kegs onto pallets and moving them to the holding area. This position will follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

    Job Responsibilities:
    • Must be able to follow the weekly draft production schedule
    • Operates and maintains the keg washer, filler, and all related equipment
    • Responsible for maintaining keg inventory including both keg shells and finished good movements to the cold box
    • Assists the brewing team with brewing related tasks and projects
    • Assists the packaging and operations teams as needed based on the production schedule.
    • Ensuring product quality through visual inspection and quality assurance checks.
    • Ensures that all Brewery SOPs are followed and maintained
    • Maintains a clean work environment through Clean in Place (CIP) procedures.
    • Maintains cleanliness of work area and around perimeter of machines as well as general housekeeping practices
    • Experience handling chemicals with an emphasis on cleaning and sanitizing procedures
    • Adhoc projects as requested by management
    Education / Qualifications:
    • Must be forklift certified or possess the ability and willingness to become forklift certified.
    • Experience in brewing production preferred.
    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • Basic knowledge of computers.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Knowledge of safe work operations, safety policies and procedures.
    • Attention to details, ability to recognize when there is a problem.
    • Love, appreciation, and knowledge of beer, including a familiarity with the craft brewing industry and with beer styles.
    • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
    • Applicant must be 21 years of age or older.
    Physical Workplace Requirements:
    The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations.
    • Physical demands with activity or condition may include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping.
    • Flexible to work rotating schedules as business needs arise (typical work week = 40 hours).
    • Position requires standing for long periods of time (up 9 hours), bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting products and materials weighing up to 70 pounds.
    • Ability to roll full kegs up to 160 pounds onto pallets.
    • Routine pushing, pulling, reaching, upper body and arm rotation, arm extension, and climbing ladders.
    • Very high noise levels in / around cellar (ear protection provided).
    • Exposure to various temperature and humidity changes.
    • Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (ear plugs, gloves, boots, etc.)
