POSITION SUMMARY: The Packaging Line Operator ensures that the quality and quantity of Harpoon products meets our highest standards. These individuals need to be technically savvy as they perform many machine adjustment and maintenance tasks in a day.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proper use of PPE
• OSHA approved Forklift certification
• Attention to details
• Genuine enthusiasm for craft beer
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Running all equipment on kegging, bottling, and canning lines
o Startup and shutdown of utilities and equipment
o CIP, CUP and sanitizing of fillers, lines and bright tanks
o Competent operation of fillers, washers, palletizers and conveyors
o Maintain line efficiency through seamless supply of empty packaging and removal of full packaging
o Close monitoring of cooperage quality and removing cooperage in need of repair
o Ensure accurate and legible coding and labeling of all containers
o Routine daily maintenance of all equipment
• Startup and shutdown of all glass, can, and case handling processes
• Address all product quality issues immediately and stop line if issues can’t be corrected quickly
• Help to maintain accurate and detailed daily run logs
• Maintain an orderly and safe work environment within department as well as entire facility
• Participate in regular departmental meetings to review issues and propose solutions
• Maintain personal appearance and conduct reflective of professionalism and pride in Harpoon
• Follow all company policies as detailed in employee handbook – attendance, safety, IT protocols, etc
• Contributing to positive work environment through open and constructive dialog
• Contribute and receptive to continual innovation and improvements
• Assist in other departments or perform other tasks as needed
