Envera is a biotechnology company focused on the use of microbes to treat a variety of issues in a worldwide marketplace including plant and animal health, waterway bioremediation, and consumer goods. Our proprietary library of well characterized microorganisms gives us the ability to quickly develop and deliver novel solutions for our clients. R&D, Fermentation, and Production of proprietary blends of bacterial spores are all performed onsite.
We are expanding our operations by doubling the industrial fermentation capacity in the next year. Positions are now available to qualified applicants. This position is similar to a shift brewing technician or shift cellar technician job, with elements of both hot and cold side operations.
We have both entry-level and experienced positions available for an Industrial Fermentation Assistant and/or Technician. We are looking for positive can-do-attitudes to help support critical functions in our Industrial team. The best fit would be a motivated self-starter who can thrive in a collaborative, team-focused environment. Strong mechanical aptitude and basic physics/biology understandings are preferred.
The Industrial Fermentation Assistant position does not require prior experience, but a strong work ethic and self-accountability are essential. This position will have a strong focus on training and learning Fermentation basics – cleaning bioreactors, downstream processing, operating valves, pumps, compressed air and steam lines, trending and monitoring fermentations and processes, etc.
The Industrial Fermentation Technician position, like a shift brewer, is responsible for day-to-day operations. Core competence in all equipment and infrastructure throughout fermentation and downstream processing is required, as is basic troubleshooting and strong mechanical aptitude. This position will interface with supervisors and operators, maintenance and production technicians, managers and lab staff from multiple departments.
Core Responsibilities for both positions include the following, but other tasks may be assigned, as necessary.

- Safely work in manufacturing areas, following forklift, confined space, work-from-height, chemical handling, and LOTO safety procedures without deviation.
- Prepare, batch, sterilize, monitor, clean, and sanitize large-scale fermenters.
- Monitor fermentations using process automation, aseptic sampling, and benchtop measurements.
- Maintain clean and organized 5S work areas.
- Maintain thorough documentation.
- Work well as a team with fermentation and lab personnel.
- Shift work will be required.
- Must be able to lift 55lbs shoulder high.
