Lead Delivery Driver- Catskill Brewery
Catskill Brewery in Livingston Manor, NY is rapidly expanding and looking for an immediate full-time lead delivery driver for our local and regional delivery and distribution operations.
This position will involve operating our 26' box truck with lift-gate to make periodic pickups and deliveries of palletized beer products between the Albany, NY area, our brewery in Livingston Manor, NY, and our distributor docks in NYC, PA, and NJ.
The position also involves general brewery assistance periodically (keg washing, assisting on canning days, etc.), picking orders, loading our delivery vans, and making local deliveries several days a week on our direct distribution routes local to the brewery in Livingston Manor, NY. These routes cover multiple counties and areas on different days of the week, and are all within an approximate 100 mile radius of the brewery.
This is a full-time position that requires dedication, reliability, customer relations, and an exemplary driving record. Directly interacting with our long-standing customers and distribution partners in a professional and personable way is critical.
Requirements
- Must have a valid NY Driver's License and clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years experience operating heavy vehicles or machinery
- Minimum of 1 years delivery experience, following driving routes, and collecting confirmation documents. Specific experience making beer/kegged beverage deliveries will be given preference.
- Must be willing to obtain a DOT physical (arranged by the brewery) for certification to operate our box truck.
- Must have a clean driving record and allow us to preform an official record inquiry to confirm good standing.
- Must be able to operate, or willing to become certified to operate a standard electric forklift.
- Must be able to comfortably and safely use manual pallet jacks.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs over-head
- Must be able to push/pull 165 lbs occasionally
- Must be able to safely and correctly use hand trucks for moving steel kegs of beer.
- Must be able to collect checks and invoice payments professionally and responsibly track records of these.
- Must be able to safely operate vehicles in various weather conditions including heavy rain, snow, fog, etc.
- Must be available to start daily shifts between 4am and 9am.
Wage range for this full-time position will start at $20-$24/hr depending on experience and qualifications.
