    ABV Technology, a creator of new equipment for brewers to craft hard seltzer and non-alcoholic beverages, seeks an experienced Field Service Technician.

    DESCRIPTION

    In the Field Service Technician role at ABV Technology you will install and support skidded equipment at customer sites. Support will be both remote (using data-monitoring software) and in-person. Strong technical, problem-solving, and communication skills will lead to success in this role. You will be expected to diagnose and repair both mechanical and electrical equipment and to collaborate closely with the rest of the team at ABV Technology to rapidly solve customer problems and minimize equipment downtime. As part of this role, you will provide feedback on part failures and maloperation to reduce support needs and maximize quality of service.

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    Required:
    • 2+ years of experience in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Comfortable with frequently shifting gears and quickly adapting
    • Attention to detail
    • Willingness to travel to customer sites (primarily in the United States, ~30% - 40% in average month)
    • Willingness to work flexible hours; nights, weekends, on call, traveling

    Preferred:
    • Food and beverage industry experience
    • Experience in customer support
    • Experience with skidded equipment
    • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment problems
    • Ability to troubleshoot electrical equipment problems
    • Experience working with product design engineers and technical experts.
    • Experience with manufacturing and fabrication processes.
    • Controls troubleshooting experience (PLC and control loops)
    • Experience implementing engineering change orders
    • Experience with root cause of failure analysis
    • Fluency in office software
    • Fluency in CAD

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Install skidded equipment
    • Commission skidded equipment
    • Support customer equipment both remotely and in-person
    • Work with team to improve support processes
    • Work with team to design and implement fixes to recurring problems
    • Support/participate in fabricating new skids
    • Other duties as assigned, primarily related to support, fabrication, and troubleshooting of ABV Technology products and equipment

    EDUCATION

    High School Diploma or equivalent
