Seeking Packaging Operators for Deschutes Brewery in Bend, Oregon
Deschutes Brewery is currently hiring for Full Time, Swing Shift and Night Shift, Packaging Machine Operators! This position works closely with other co-owners of the team to operate the packaging line, working to get our Damn Tasty Beer into kegs, cans and bottles. Duties include but are not limited to operating various pieces of automated equipment on the packaging line; quality control and checking for accuracy on things such as 'bottled on' dates, expiration dates, and batch numbers; changing bottle labels and various other tasks in a production environment. Previous manufacturing or production experience is preferred but not required!
Base wages when joining this team start at $17.31/hour for someone without experience and wage at time of offer increase based on the previous applicable experience you bring to the role. We also pay an additional night shift differential of $3.00/hour for all time worked between 6pm and 6am. This position offers a career path up to $26.96/hour for our employees who successfully complete our training program and hold several years of experience in this department. Additional opportunities for wage increases are also associated with cross-training, specialty licenses/certifications and promotional opportunities.

- This is a full time position working 10 hours a day, 4 days per week
- Night shift: 9pm to 7:30am Monday through Thursday
- Swing Shift: 2pm-12:30am Tuesday through Friday

- Focused attention on training for safety and standard operating procedures
- Experience in a team-based environment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Previous manufacturing or production or forklift experience is preferred
