Local Bend brewery looking for Packaging Technician

Job Overview

Packaging/Delivery Tech will provide support on the various canning and labeling/packaging lines in the brewery as well as regular (weekly) delivery to the Portland area (vehicle provided).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with canning, labeling, and inventory management
• Communicate maintenance needs to Supervisor in a timely manner
• Ensure packaging quality standards are always met
• Preparing and driving weekly shipment to PDX distributor. Provided vehicle is a box truck loaded with up to 10,000 lbs. Driver may encounter winter driving conditions, and these days might require up to 9-10 hours of work.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma, GED (or equivalent, reading, writing, reasoning and computer skills)

Experience:

• 1+ year related experience in production facility is preferred
• 1+ year general labor
• Metrc experience helpful

Required skills:

• Drivers License and clean driving record required
• Ability to stand and walk for 8+ hours/day
• Ability to lift 60lbs
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Spatial awareness and logical thinking skills
• Basic math skills
• Basic computer / GoogleDocs skills
• Ability to work without direct supervision
• Ability to follow OLCC Rules and Regulations and have, or obtain, OLCC Workers Permit
• Ability to follow all safety procedures while working with potentially hazardous machinery
• Ability to effectively communicate and cooperate with coworkers and managers

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
