looking for a Packaging Operator based in Tampa, FL. The purpose of the position is to effectively, efficiently, and safely meet all job requirements, abilities, accountabilities, and goals as directed by the Shift Lead and Packaging Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must adhere to all rules and regulations set forth by D. G. Yuengling & Son, Inc.
• Operate assigned machinery in a proficient manner as instructed by the Shift Packaging Lead and/or Packaging Manager.
• Perform Operator-Based maintenance as required.
• Follow procedures to ensure an adequate supply of materials to run the machinery efficiently.
• Monitor quality at all times.
• Inspect cartons, trays, pallets, etc. for proper placement.
• Assist where needed to keep equipment running.
• Record the necessary production information on reports as required.
• Report any and all accidents, workplace hazards or unsafe conditions immediately to the Shift Packaging Lead and/or Packaging Manager.
• Maintain a clean organized work area at all times.
• Assist leads and maintenance during breakdowns.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as requested, directed, or assigned by Management.

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

• Must be able to follow all safety requirements and use appropriate PPE for tasks.
• Must have experience in manufacturing environment and a sense of urgency to get the job done.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Ability to multitask.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Mechanically inclined.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to move about the facility
• Ascend/descend structure to operate machinery on the production line.
• Ability to lift 60 lbs.
