looking for an Electrician to oversee start-up, shutdown and changeover of equipment as needed by operations. The purpose of this position is to effectively, efficiently and safely meet all job requirements, abilities, accountabilities and goals as directed by the Maintenance Manager.




Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain and support brewery operations.
• Maintain appropriate records of machine changes and upgrades.
• Receive updates from prior shift electrician as necessary.
• Respond quickly and efficiently to any disruption of normal production.
• Report any downtime or problem areas to Electrical Lead.
• Carry out routine electrical activities as directed by Electrical Lead.
• Contact the Electrical Lead when routine electrical work reveals larger problems.
• Provide input to the electrical planning process.
• Monitor trends when conducting routine electrical maintenance and take corrective action when needed.
• Continuously monitor brewery for ways to improve safety, quality and efficiency.
• Report needed repairs to Electrical Lead.
• Monitor and maintain material and parts inventory.
• Immediately respond to any calls made by the Electrical Lead, Packaging Lead, Mechanical Lead, Brewing Lead, or Plant Coordinator.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

• Understanding of OSHA safety requirement and NFPA 70E safety requirements.
• Basic understanding and ability to reference NEC Codebook.
• Knowledge and ability to use basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to perform repairs and installations that meet NEC and are visually acceptable.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial motor controls.
• Ability to understand and utilize electrical schematics and P&ID’s.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair relay logic.
• Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing Variable Frequency Drives.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical equipment.
• Basic understanding of PLC/PAC’s.
• Basic understanding of industrial communication networks.
• Experience with Rockwell Automation Hardware and Software.
• Ability to understand and interpret PLC ladder logic.
• Possess Mechanical Aptitude.
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate clearly.
• Ability to follow detailed directions.
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and balance priorities.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Possess computer knowledge, specifically Microsoft programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) preferred.

• Desire to learn basic brewing and packaging processes.

Required Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver's License
• Completion of vocational training or electrical apprenticeship
• 3-5 years' experience working in an industrial environment

Physical Demands:

• Ability to ascend and descend structures and ladders as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
