We are an 8000 bbl per year brewery located in beautiful Red Lodge, Montana. Red Lodge has a population of 2500 and has a ski area and hiking, fishing, biking and boating all nearby.
In addition to beer, we process 50,000 gallons of cider made at our cider mill in Billings.
Packaging Manager – The position is full time, 4 x 10 hour shifts per week. Responsibilities include canning beer and cider, washing kegs with our semi-automated keg washer, and filling kegs with our volumetric keg filler. In addition, preparing for packaging runs and maintaining a clean workspace are part of the job. Trouble shooting and maintaining the can filler, contacting support when new parts are needed, and ensuring the proper Inventory is available for packaging runs are part of the job. Knowledge of gravity filler operation is a must. Knowledge of keg valve maintenance is also a job requirement.
Requirements:
Standing and moving for long shifts
Picking up 30 pounds at a time
Working in a wet environment
Observing safety protocols
Operating a pallet jack
Keeping a clean workspace
Forklift experience
Mechanical aptitude
Minimum 2 years’ experience on a gravity can filler
Minimum 2 years’ experience washing and filling kegs
Experience with cleaning chemicals and CIP
Experience with DO meters, CO2 meters, x ray seam inspectors, tank managers, and carbonating stones
