Loon Juice Hard Cider, Minnesota's largest producer of hard cider, is installing a new 200 cpm canning line and we need a skilled and talented individual to maintain and manage it. We understand that not many people have experience running large canning lines, so no experience is required. If you do have experience you would jump to the front of the line and be well compensated. What this position requires is an individual with good mechanical or engineering skills. If you can rebuild engines or electronics you probably have enough mechanical know how to operate and maintain the canning line.
In addition to the mechanical aspect of running the canning line, this individual would also be responsible for some "light" managing of the 2-3 other people that would also be working on the canning line. Things like setting schedules, checking availability, directing personnel in a way that emphasizes strengths and gets the job done. The canning line manager will hopefully be hired before our new canning line is installed. This will give him/her an opportunity to work on our existing line which is smaller and simpler so that they can learn some basic concepts of canning. When the new line is installed we will all be trained in on that one by the manufacturer.
Requirements to be a successful canning line manager -
Must take pride in your work
Must be detail oriented
Must not accept anything other than perfection
Must get along with others
Must be able to diagnose mechanical issues and repair them
Must be able to go with the flow
If you can do these things, you will be an important part of a hard cider brand that is growing like crazy.
Compensation based on experience. Position is salaried.
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Just south of Rochester, MN
