Job Purpose:
A Packaging Operator is responsible for running packaging equipment safely and efficiently during a packaging shift while maintaining a focus on quality
Duties:
Operate packaging equipment in safe and efficient manner while focusing on quality
Following SOP’s
Perform quality control checks on finished product and bright beer tanks
Accurately document QC checks
Accurately reporting production
Forklift operations
Maintain equipment in a clean sanitary manner
Preventative maintenance on packaging equipment
Inventory control
Tracking raw materials throughout a packaging run
Mix pack operations or repack operations
Cross training teammates
Communicate effectively and work well with other departments
Achieve department goals for safety, quality, efficiency and Cost
Taste panel work as needed
Requirements/Qualifications:
Positive attitude
Trustworthy
Team player
Proper use of PPE
Harpoon training for OSHA approved Forklift certification
Attention to detail
Proficient knowledge of Micro-soft office applications
Valid MA driver’s license
Mechanical aptitude
Focus on quality control and safety
Ability to multitask and adjust to changing priorities
Comply with all company policies
Work Environment:
Working on feet all day
Wet, cold & noisy area
Working with strong chemicals
Physical Job requirement:
Repetitive handling of 20+ lb cases and kegs
