  • Quality Manager - Mother Road Brewing Co.

Mother Road Brewing Company seeks a Quality Manager to aid us in the expansion of our continuously improving Quality Program. Over the course of six years, we have grown from brewing 650 barrels to 5,700 barrels annually, and are projected to brew 20,000 barrels with our newly built facility in 2020. With this increased production, we have hit a tipping point where we need a dedicated position to manage the quality of our beer.

As Quality Manager (Brewer III in our terms), you will be responsible for: managing our growing lab; implementing new lab procedures and commissioning lab equipment; running our weekly sensory panel and conducting trainings for our panelists; yeast and fermentation management; standard media plating. You will work collaboratively with our Production Manager and Head Brewer to continually improve upon the quality of our beer.

What is Brewer III? It’s our solution for people who desire to refine their technical skills and process management, but do not want to manage people. This means you will work under our Production Manager, and have the autonomy to develop our Quality Program.

Want to travel with us? The ideal candidate will embrace the values and spirit of Mother Road. We provide radical hospitality, face adversity with a smile, continuously improve our brewery, and believe that laughter and work-life balance are essential. Love of food, travel, the outdoors, history and the Southwest are a candidate bonus.

The winning candidate will be able to demonstrate their alignment with our values, have ample lab and QA/QC experience in brewing, distilling or wine making, in addition to expressing interest in long-term growth with the Mother Road story. Brewing education may be considered in lieu of experience.

This is a full-time, salaried position with paid time off, a wellness package, professional development, and of course, beer. We take care of our employees and keep their well-being a priority. We also view personal growth as an essential part of work, and have a career development program designed to keep your personal and professional growth constant.
