    Job Title: Production Support

    Reports To: Production Technician & Bottling Line Operator / Shift Manager

    Shift: 2 days per week (estimated weekly hours 16+). 7 AM- 3 PM availability is required.

    Position Type: Part-time / hourly

    Wage Grade: Entry Level

    Position Summary:
    The ideal candidate will be familiar with the day-to-day operations of a packaging brewery. The person in the Production Support role may also be responsible for assisting in other aspects of beer packaging including cleaning and filling kegs, routine brewery cleaning and sanitation, and loading / unloading trucks. We produced over 16,000 barrels last year, and took top honors as 2015 Small Brewery of the Year at The Great American Beer Festival. We are a busy facility and work hard every day.
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • On a rotating basis, perform routine bottling line work, such as loading operating supplies into assigned machines, ensuring smooth machine operation and alleviating problem situations.
    • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor, such as housekeeping projects and line set-up.
    • Ability to understand and follow SOP's.
    • Ability to adjust to a changing production schedule.
    • Maintain a high level of cleanliness in all operations.

    Qualification Requirements:

    • Must be 21 years of age or older.
    • Strong organizational aptitude and verbal & written communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently in a cooperative environment, with a proactive, self-starting attitude.
    • Knowledge of the brewing process.
    • Previous experience in a production brewery, food plant, or beverage plant preferred.
    • 7 AM- 3 PM availability is required.

    Materials/Machines/Equipment Used:
    • Fork lift certification (a plus).
    • Brewery raw materials.
    • Cleaning and Sanitizing Chemicals.
    • Pumps, hoses, valves, clamps, gaskets, and other brewery equipment.

    Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to regularly lift/carry products weighing up to 55 pounds.
    • Ability to work in an indoor or outdoor environment which may be loud, slippery, hot and humid, or cold.
    • Ability to stand for prolonged periods, stoop, twist, turn, crouch, kneel, climb stairs.
    • Operate in a safe manner, including wearing protective eye / ear wear and gloves.
    • Use of production chemicals are also typical in this work environment.
    • May be required to work and direct in confined spaces.
