Blaze Brewing Company is seeking a full time General Manager in Biddeford Maine
The main duty of the General manager is to oversee day-to-day Tap Room operations and to facilitate its success while also working with the brewers and management in order to track and sell beer in-house. This person should have exceptional customer service skills and be eager to learn. This position reports to the owner.
Essential Functions:
• Scheduling of employees and working with the brand manager, chef, head brewer, owner, and others to schedule events.
• Executing events by working with vendors, employees, marketing team, and others.
• Overseeing day-to-day sales and making projections based on sales numbers.
• Planning, coordinating, and attending meetings regarding building expansion, maintenance, and all other facets maintaining a clean, safe, and enjoyable environment.
• Tracking and keeping inventory of beer coming to and going from the tasting room.
• Coordinating with businesses and customers on different events, fundraisers, beer sales, etc.
•Training new employees and making sure that existing employees are held to high standards.
• Working with Production to ensure all beer is stocked correctly.
• Ordering and purchasing items that are necessary for tasting room operations.
• Assisting the brand manager in social media advertising.
• Assisting Tap Room employees where necessary.
• Any additional duties as required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time and salaried position. Nights and weekends are also commonly worked. Additional hours as required.
Ideal candidates will be familiar with:
Hospitality management a plus
Prior tap room experience a bigger plus
Some level of Cicerone certification and an inherent love for beers of all types and a willingness to learn
This is a salaried position and salary will depend on experience
