I sanitize my plastic fermenters while I am doing the boil. I hook up a pump and run through the chiller at the same time. usually there is no more than about 15 minutes between dumping the sanitizer and filling with beer.

what gasket did you use for your conical? I would like to put something on my lids to help seal them a little better.

      Hi there,
I am pretty sure we use a 12" round manway gasket, here's a photo, sorry the fermenter is dirty just transferred to the brite. it can be hard to get on, but we slip it over the screw on lid on the top of the fermenter, and attach a blowoff tube to the centerClick image for larger version

        Our SOP

We clean and sanitize a tank pretty much always right after it is used...if the tank sits overnight and is not brewed into right away, it is resanitized the day we brew into it.
