  • Rinsing Bottles

We will soon be receiving our first rinse/fill/cap bottling line.

The rinser recirculates the cleaning fluid through filters.

What would be the recommended cleaning fluid to use to rinse the bottles?

Clean water is preferred rinse. Would not reuse water. Filtered or not.

First it depends on the filter, if it is a sterile filter (at least 0.45 micro, better 0.2 micro)
Second how do you ensure the rest of the system stays clean and sanitary?
      We recommend two additives:
      1. Peracetic acid (PAA) concentration 50 - 75 ppm
      2. Hydrogen peroxide also around 75 ppm

This way you ensure the water is clean and will not contaminate your package. Also the system itself will stay sanitary.

Do you rinse with water the cans after using peracetic acid(50 ppm)?
