  • Can fancy yeast propagation tank make my life easier?

Planning a decent amount of cone to cone transfers and storing yeast in a brink... but for some yeast styles we plan to prop up from slant to flask, to larger flask, to carboy, to fv, etc... Wondering if anyone has used or has any input on the yeast prop tank 3bbl from gw kent... how will it make my life easier for 5k? Will it make me a sandwhich as well? Thanks for the feedback

    Not really a propagator

It is my understanding that in order to properly grow yeast, you need to keep them aerobic and have some way to aerate or oxygenate.

Also, some sort of mixing is required to get an accurate count of what you have in there. With the mixing and oxygenation, you would need ample headspace or mechanical defoaming for it to work properly. You should also be able to monitor pH.

This tank is not a propagator, it's a large yeast brink. And it doesn't make sandwiches.
