We're looking at changing our brew house over from a 10bbl system to a 20bbl system to make things a bit more efficient filling our 20bbl fermenters. One potential snag is that we still have a couple of 10bbl fermenters we use for smaller batches, one offs, and some contracts. Is it still possible to brew 10bbl batches on a 20bbl system? I'm guessing it would depend on MLT geometry as well as location of steam jackets on the BK but looking for folks with experience as well.
