  • Plate and Frame filtration with carbon pads

    Howdy all,
I am experimenting using carbon pads on my 40x40 plate and frame filter to get a clearer result on one of our products. The pads come with a white “paper” covering one side. The salesman said I could leave it on the pad or remove it. Anyone have experience with this?

    Prost!

What company do you get your filters from? The ones I use have no paper on them. I can't imagine it would be a good idea to leave it on.

          Just to update:
I was able to speak with a tech ay Pall. He said one could leave the paper attached (it’s held on only at four points) and it would help “catch” any carbon sediment that may be floating around during the filtration or one could remove the paper and they would perform just fine.
