Best way to add flavouring/extract to tank?

Hi,
I have some extract I would like to add to a tank after fermentation. Any reasons not to add this via the dry hop port on the top of the tank and distribute with CO2 or whilst carbonating in the tank?

We add our flavorings just after transfer has begun into a brite tank. The flavoring then gets mixed well as the rest of the beer flows in to fill the tank.
