Remove dropped lids/ends from conveyance

Hello!

We've recently introduced some automation downstream of our canning line and have run into a problem with missed lids. They occasionally make their way through on the conveyance downstream to this other equipment and mess things up. I understand that the objective is not to have dropped/missed lids post filling, but it's going to happen, it just is. My question is, has anyone figured out a good solution to remove them/get them off the conveyance?

Maybe you could rig up an air knife perpendicular to the deck of the conveyor to flip the lids of and to the side.

Air knife is a good idea if you have the capability, a channel guard could also work if you can cover the space they are enter at the end of the conveyor.
