  • Small Scale Bottling Solution

We are a very small startup brewery making bottled soda.

Currently bottling is all manual using several Blichman Beer guns for bottle fillup. Can anyone recommend an intermediate step we could take that would help us automate bottling without having to take the leap to something like a Meheen?

Ideally looking for a solution that would be say $5K or less....

There are some semiautomated table top models out there, but for that price you will be looking a while to find one. Try one of the used equipment dealers that post on here regularly.

      Small scale bottling

What throughput are you looking for? Filling and capping both or just filling?

No capping just filling -- As far as throughput goes -- really any throughput thats faster than using a handheld beer gun (which is 2 bottles per minute per gun on a good day!)

          Check this out here

The 4 head model is about GBP 5 K, I believe.

We use a two head now for our flip top 1L growlers. Ours can easily be switched from filling from a bright tank or kegs. Thinking about getting a 4 head.

Perhaps you could find one used?

          Pax.

          Very high quality fill.

Interesting. Ballpark $ for the two head?

I know that F&M Brewery in Guelph, Ontario Canada 1-519-824-1195 has been sitting on a 4 head for a few years. I have no idea what they want for it but they only bottle in 12oz bottles now on a rotary filler so I don't think they have immediate plans for it.

I believe it came from Criveller Equipment as they sell them to the wine industry.

Also take a look at Casks Tabletop Canning Machine there has been a few of these used on the market as Canning breweries upgrade to Casks "bigger" automated canning line for microbreweries,

The MCS V2 is the most cost-effective professional grade beer filling system on the market. Suitable for every craft beverage type and can size.
