  • Plumbers tape for glycol?

Hey guys, the threaded connections on my glycol loop have a small leak. Any recommendations on what type of plumbers tape or sealant i should use on the threads? Thanks

Don't use teflon tape. It will eventually get caught in a solenoid somewhere. Get the blue pipe dope, available at any plumbing supply store.

Never use Teflon tape in a glycol system. I don't use it at all anymore. LocTite 542 is ideal for glycol fittings, and I use a food-grade sealant for any product/potable water contact.

I've had to take down and clean too many solenoid valve due to bits of Teflon tape floating around the system.
