  • Oxygen time!

I am a little confused (as usual) when it comes to oxygenating the wort with an in-line 02stone and food grade oxygen.
I have an Argon CO2 Mig Tig Flow meter Welding Weld Regulator Gauge. If I have the flow meter set to 2.5 liters for minute. Approximately how long should I be adding the oxygen for?
Sorry if this is a dumb question

you should be using an o2 flow meter. co2 and argon have a way different density the pure o2. at room temp.

I thought so. Once I get an 02 flow meter.. would it be 2.5 liters a minute for how many minutes?

How long is a piece of string?

No one can answer that question with the information you have give.

        - Brew volume ??

        - Required oxygen level ??

        - how completely is your oxygen dissolved ??

        - are you using pure oxygen or purified air ??

1 mole of gas occupies 22.4 litres gas at STP / NTP

        1 mole oxygen = 32 grammes

        1 mole nitrogen = 28 grammes

Now go and work out what you want
