    How many of you fill your mash tun with your full volume of boiling water and make one transfer to kettle? How many of you add water to your mash tun in stages and make multiple transfers to kettle? Note I'm not asking whether you fly or batch sparge, I would assume most of you fly sparge. Absolutely appreciate the responses in advance!

    I doubt very much if anyone (not even homebrewers) does it as you get crap extract efficiency and I would expect also to have problems with getting the sugar composition right. Oh, and the mash tun would need to be a whole lot bigger.
