Optical Dissolved Oxygen Meter DO meter - Hanna HI98198

We are looking for a DO meter. We are year 2 in operation and we really want to chase O2 but we cannot (yet) afford a top notch DO meter. Currently we send ou beer to the lab for validation but we cannot hunt DO properly.

Is it worth considering this unit or should we save up and max out a credit card?

Is this for packaging? If so, you need a range in the ppb, not ppm (mg/l)

Sorry, but forget it. That probe is only suitable for use by immersing in an open container of beer. Pouring the beer into that open container will increase the DO2 immeasurably, so the results are meaningless for beer QA. You need one that can be connected direct to the tank or pipe or whatever of beer and purge the whole caboodle out with a decent quantity of beer to ensure you are testing the beer in the container etc, not the surrounding air. $$$$$ required unfortunately
