  • Deposit for Kegs

Just wondering how much everyone charges for their keg deposits. Also, does anyone charge a deposit for the tap handles?

    Thanks

Ditto frigatebay for distributors. Dock sales $100 deposit on keg, $100 on pump tap/ice tub. Sell handles.

A good sales person will know when one of your kegs has been bumped and should retrieve the tap handle.
      Cheers!

Wholesale I charge $50 deposit for 1/6bbl kegs.

My distribution agreement with the local A/B house states that they buy any POS from me at cost. Taphandles are considered POS so they pay me what I pay for them.

Another good question is what do the big distributors charge? They are going to set the market for what people are willing to deposit.

$30 deposit on kegs and I charge a $30 deposit on our tap handles for bars/restaurants outside of my regular self-distribution area. We've been generous with wholesalers in providing their first 20 or so tap handles, but after that we charge $30 each, which is pretty much our cost for each tap handle.
