  • Glycol piping issues

We've recently upgraded our glycol piping, and now we're having issues. We moved from PEX with brass fittings to hard pipe on the mains, and are using schedule 80 tees and nipples with 1 inch braided poly line on the drops. After CIP on the fermenters, fittings loosen to the point of either developing a leak, or outright blowing a braided line completely off of the barbed fittings. I'm wondering about differential expansion and contraction. Anyone have any suggestions?

Are you closing off both supply and return lines on the FV? Though I have no experience of this, if hot cleaning, perhaps this is causing sufficient pressure build up in the individual FV, particularly if for some reason there is a pocket of air left in the jackets
