    Everyone that works here is right handed. Everyone uses their right hand to initially hold and "flip" the tri-clamp, then the left hand is used top hold the clamp in place while the right hand tightens down the tri-clamp thread. For those tri-clamps that "shouldn't ever come off", the use the left hand to do the "flip" and have the tri-clamp nut pointing upside down...it doesn't feel natural when you take those off, so you know that something is wrong...

      Plastic zip ties strapped around the spot where the clamp comes together makes for a good temporary fix.
