Warren, thanks for offering to try to help.
The basic rundown is that the boiler keeps overfilling, then the condensate tank overfills, starts overflowing water and steam, then the pump runs continually until the boiler cuts off and we lose steam to the kettle. It's a Weil Mclane sectional boiler. We just replaced the sections, gaskets, and are now running a water softener and chemical treatment which treats the water going into the condensate tank.

I've checked the float valve pump actuator on the boiler and even replaced the switch on it. That's what everyone initially thinks is the problem, but it isn't. It just keeps overflowing, mainly when we are calling steam to the kettle, no usually when we are just keeping the HLT hot. Random observation: If I turn off the HLT heat and turn it back on, we get water spewing out of a steam trap.
