Biography:
I'm a dedicated and enthusiastic brewer that has seen experience in both small brewery upstarts as well as larger production brewery operations. Bachelors of Science in Biology/Microbiology with a strong attention to detail.

Worked 2.5 years for a smaller (20bbl, 2 vessel JVNW) brewery producing approx. 2500 bbl/year. Experience in wort production, product/recipe development, cellar work, standard CIP practices and packaging on cans, bottles and kegs. During this time I also developed programs for production forecasting and supply acquisition of all raw materials and chemicals. Very much a Type A personality who works well in public speaking occasions (i.e. beer dinners, tap takeovers ect.) and enjoys interacting with the public.

Worked 2.5 years for a larger (50bbl, 4 vessel JVNW) brewery producing upwards of 100,000 bbls/year. Intensive experience working in a team environment with 12 or more brewers, while training new hires as needed. Experience writing various SOPs and a penchant for troubleshooting equipment issues. This particular brewhouse has 3x 50bbl kettles with the intent of brewing kettle sours while also running our regular lineup on our primary 4 vessel system continuously. Experience managing lactobacillus cultures and mitigating cross-contamination of lactobacillus and saccharomyces cerevisiae. Responsible for training all brewers on the handling of lactobacillus as well as in the process of producing these kettle soured products. Day to day wort production of an extensive and constantly changing portfolio that includes detailed note taking and daily CIP of all vessels.

My secondary focus is in the management and expansion of our barrel aging program for which we have over 500 barrels. This requires day to day inventory, quarterly tasting of aging products and movement of finished beer in and out of barrels as needed along with the blending of said products.

Future goals are to work for a small to mid-sized craft brewery managing a team of brewers and developing new and innovative recipes. Willing to consider working abroad (international) but would be most content living and working in the Pacific NW. Open to all inquires for positions in leadership roles - especially those that allow for creative control and development. Similarly, I would be open to discussions regarding ownership/equity/sweat equity in new brewery projects.

(Can provide complete resume/references/experience upon request)

Cheers,
Eric
