    Food Safe Hot Water Washdown Hose

    I need a short length (25') of 1/2"-5/8" food safe hot water washdown hose for the brewdeck. I am using it to rinse grain in the mash tun when transferring to the lauter tun, so it needs to be food grade at its entire temperature range.

    Does anybody have a good supplier of short lengths of this stuff? I have looked in the past and had no luck in finding some for a reasonable price.

    Temps would be anywhere from 150F-200F, and flexibility of the hose should be fairly good, as it will be left coiled on the brewdeck when not in use.

      I use a goodyear hose from home depot. Red. Foodsafe, rated to 190degrees f. A bit lighter than the gw kent stuff, I think. I have a 3/4 goodyear from kent which absolutely will not kink, but is heavier. 50 ft hose was thirty something at HD.

        I don't know that either of those products are food grade though. I can't find anything that explicitly says they are. Is there any more information to confirm that they are FDA approved food grade materials at the upper end of their temperature?

          The one from home depot says "potable" or something on the label, which is why I went with it.
