  • What events to attend?

I'm curious to learn what beer events others have attended over the years and what lead to that decision. It seems like I receive a constant barrage of invites for various events. I am located in Washington State and am curious to hear from Washington and Oregon State breweries as well.

Being a small brewery, I have used the rule of only attending events in my service area. Though, I do believe there is certain value to establishing relationship across the states with other brewery owners and brewers.

For Washington I have always enjoyed the Summer Beer Fest at Marymoore, the BelgianFest and the Winder Beer Festival.

On your end of the state I'd hit the Inland NW festival in the fall in Spokane. Maybe the fresh hop fest in Yakima if you brew one. Marymoore is the big one for the whole state. Might checkout the NABA festival in Idaho.

Our favorites though are probably Strange Brewfest in Port Townsend and Hops and Props at the Museum of Flight.

On the whole though, we generally don't do festivals where we a) aren't in the market b) aren't getting paid or c) just aren't interested.

        might find these helpful

A Beer festival is an important part of a startup brewery’s marketing plan. Stephanie Carson, SuperFly Fabulous Events, puts on 11 beer festivals each year.

        Cheers
