    Heretic Brewing Company, an award winning craft beer brewery located in Fairfield California, is currently hiring brewers for the brewery team. We are looking for smart, highly motivated people with a professional demeanor and a passion for craft beer. We want people inspired to be the link between the grain and the glass.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Brewing beer on our four-vessel, 37 bbl brew system
    • Packaging beer in kegs, cans or bottles
    • Tracking fermentation
    • Quality assurance
    • Lab work
    • Preparing loads for shipment
    • Receiving shipments of materials
    • Cellar management
    • Record keeping
    • Brewery tours
    • Cleaning (kegs, tanks, floors)


    Qualifications
    • 21 or older
    • Homebrewing or professional brewing experience required
    • Self-motivated and proactive
    • Adaptable and able to efficiently manage time and tasks
    • A passion for and knowledge of craft beer
    • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
    • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
    • Compensation based on experience

    This position is full-time and includes early shifts (6am to 2:30pm), middle shifts (8:30am to 5pm) and late shifts (11am to 7:30pm). Do not apply unless a flexible schedule is acceptable. We are accepting applications from only applicants residing within a 40 mile radius from our brewery.

    Heretic is poised for great growth. We began brewing award-winning ales in 2011 and our rapid growth has allowed us to recently complete a large brewery expansion.     • As Brewmaster for Jacob Schmidt Brewing, I was a trusted leader for the brewhouse, cellars and keg line, managing 22 employees. Provided upgrade assistance for entire brewhouse.
    • As Supervisor for Anheuser-Busch, I acquired knowledge for commercial scale brewing.
    • Obtained a Masters of Science in Brewing Chemistry at University of California at Davis.
    • As a Supervisor and Manager in Fermentation/Recovery in the Biotech industry, I acquired a broader scope of equipment and processes.
