    Epiphany Craft Malt - who we are
    Malt is the foundation of fermentation. Established in 2014, Epiphany Craft Malt produces a variety of malted grain products for brewers, distillers, and other food ventures. Partnering with our farmers and customers alike is a core of our malting operation. We are committed to establish a local supply, practice sustainability, and foster a positive, respectful workplace.

    Position to be filled:
    Perform an array of functions as part of our malting operation that may include
    • receiving and processing incoming stock and materials,
    • loading steep vessels,
    • unloading malting units,
    • operating the 55 lb bagging unit,
    • mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method,
    • assist in counting of physical inventory,
    • Weigh and count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards,
    • picking and filling orders from stock,
    • packing and shipping orders, as well as
    • sweep, dust and mop; organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times,
    • wear the proper safety equipment,
    • ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.



    Physical Demands
    The warehouse and malting assistant is a labor intensive position as you are running production with the maltster.
    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 55 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    Work Environment
    This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, filing cabinets, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, forklift, shrink wrap, box cutters and tape dispensers.

    Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
    This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are usually Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., with weekend work occasionally as we run a 24/7 malting operation.

    Required Education and Experience
    High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.

    Preferred Education and Experience
    One year of prior warehouse clerk experience.
    Background in farming, brewing or distilling.
    Comfortable working with large equipment.
